Turritella Sterling Silver Necklace

This handmade one of a kind necklace has a beautiful turritella stone set in sterling with a claw setting. Comes with 18" snake chain

Turritella is a stunning stone known for its intricate patterns and fascinating history. Turritella is a fossil formation consisting of ancient snail shells that have been crystallised and silicified. These ancient freshwater snails were highly abundant around 50 million years ago in the Green River Formation in present-day Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. When the snails died their shells sank to the bottom of the lake. Small amounts of microcrystalline silica in the groundwater slowly encompassed the cavities of the shell. This is believed to have occurred in a gel-like substance that eventually hardened over time into a Chalcedony. 

Turritella is believed to bring inner peace, enhance creativity, and deepen spiritual awareness.

All of my pieces are designed and handmade entirely by me in my workshop in Oxfordshire. As they are all created by hand, all of my pieces are completely unique. The necklace will come packed in an eco-friendly gift box and will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure it arrives quickly and safely.
